7 Months Maternity Outfit: A Turquoise Dress + Chiffon Poncho

I I am currently 37 weeks, well past the 7 months, but I found these outfit photos one of my memory cards and figured I might as well share them. I have gotten a lot of use out of this Betsey Johnson dress during my pregnancy, styling it different ways. Here, I am wearing it with my butt kickin’ YRU boots and a chiffon poncho to add some softness to the feel of the outfit. Whattaya think?

7 Months Maternity Outfit: LBD and Wool Cape

wearing: Forever21[Earrings] -Vintage[Dress] -[Cape] -Jockey[Tights] -BeWild[Shoes]

The weather has been really beautiful around here lately, and Gabriel and I have been taking advantage of it by going on dates during the day. We’ll go to a park, find a quiet spot to sit and just reminisce about our past, talk about the present and dream about our future. On walks around our neighborhood, we’ll stop by one of the many local bakeries/cafes to pick up something sweet and continue our path with no specific destination; enjoying our gaze, touch, voice…cherishing these special moments of being two, before we become three.

We are so excited for our family and in awe of how fast pregnancy goes by. I am so thankful to God that I have had a healthy and pleasurable pregnancy. Sometime towards the end of March our little angel will be out in this big beautiful world; ready to love, laugh, learn and explore.

7 Months Maternity Outfit: Stripes and Yellow Rainboots

wearing: Motherhood [Jacket] – Nicole Miller [Dress] – Joules USA [Rain Boots]

When you live in this beautiful City of Vancouver, you need to have at least one good pair of rain boots because believe it or not, we get more than 161 days of rain per year! I actually have four pairs of rain boots, different colours/patterns, warmth and height! The newest set of wellies in my closet are these adorably bright yellow rain boots by Joules USA. I have wanted a classic pair of rain boots for so long, so I couldn’t say no to these affordable beauties.

I’m happy to say that these ankle boots are not only practical and stylish, but also very comfortable and warm (they have lining.) And I don’t have to worry about slipping because they have great tread/grip.

Make sure to check out the full range of Joules fashionable rain boots by clicking here.

Nicole Bridger and Maternity Friendly Styles

During my pregnancy I’ve checked out a couple of maternity clothing stores and to be honest, they’re pretty lame. The pieces I find are usually not my style; the prints/cuts/colours are either outdated or not flattering. And yeah, once in a while the store might have a “modern” collection, but again, the quality is just not up to par with the price. OR, I like an item, but I can’t come to terms with spending a big chunk of money on something I’m only going to wear DURING my pregnancy. I suppose that’s why I’ve resorted to wearing so many of my dresses throughout my pregnancy, hahaha and borrowing some maternity blouses from my comadre.

Anyways, a couple weeks ago I walked into Nicole Bridger‘s Flagship store and was thrilled to discover that many of her stand-out pieces are maternity friendly styles. What does that mean exactly? Well it means that the pieces can be worn pre, DURING and POST pregnancy, which is AWESOME. Imagine being able to wear your favorite dress, blouse or pants during your pregnancy, well now you can. And the best part is that Nicole Bridger’s designs are effortlessly chic and most importantly (especially during pregnancy, right!), VERY comfortable!

Nicole Bridger’s pieces are timeless. They are staple pieces that you can have for many seasons, that will always be “in” because they are chic and simplistic. It’s obvious that Nicole Bridger takes the natural curves of a woman’s body into consideration while designing because her pieces are very flattering on any body type, pregnant or not. The seams, belts and draping on the pieces I tried on were all placed perfectly in the right spots, that flattered my body…take a look for yourself, and let me know what you think! 🙂

7 Months Maternity Outfit: PinkBlush Maternity Blue Lace Dress

Disclosure: I received the Blue Lace Maternity Dress from PinkBlush Maternity. All opinions are honest and 100% my own.

PinkBlush Maternity is an online shop tailored for the trendy, modern mama to be, where you can find Tops, Dresses, Bottoms, Nursing and Accessories. Did I mention that shopping at PinkBlush Maternity is affordable? So you can imagine how happy I was when PinkBlush Maternity asked me if I would like to pick a piece from their site to review.

Choosing just one piece was a difficult task, as everything on their site looks cute, chic and comfortable, which are all important requisites for this mama to be and belly of love! Hahaha, so what did I end up choosing? A beautiful blue lace dress, which is currently on sale for $39.99!

I was very excited when upon receiving the blue lace dress because I knew that it was going to be very versatile. The dress is textured lace and thankfully is double lined  to prevent sheerness, yay! The dress is fitted, below the knee length and has a rounded neckline.

Since receiving the dress I’ve styled it differently on a number of occasions. For example, I wore it once with tights, cute winter boots, a cable knit sweater and a toque. Another time I wore it to a party with beige pumps (no tights!) and a cape. And as you can see in this post, I styled it with my favorite pair of booties, warm tights and a faux fur vest.  You can really wear this dress casually or dress it up for an evening date, all depends on the styling.

If you or someone you know is pregnant, make sure to check out PinkBlush Maternity, where you’ll find trendy maternity clothes for the modern mama!

6 Months Maternity Outfit: Floral and Wool

Six months flew right by, I honestly haven’t felt my life pass by so quickly before. I guess it’s because I’m so aware of the changes that are occurring in and around me? This countdown has already started, 3 months left!! Can you believe it? I can’t!!! Jajajaja, we are so excited!!
This outfit is one of my favorites because it’s so comfortable and easy for layering. It’s a 90’s floral maxi dress that I wore with a long sleeve top, maxi wool skirt and thick tights under to keep my cozy. I really like this print because the flowers look like eggs, sunny side up jajajaja.

5 Months Maternity Outfit of the Day: A Black and Hot Pink Combo

2013 has been a great chapter of my life. If it wasn’t for all the experience I lived in the 365 days, I wouldn’t be who I am today…at this very moment. Each day is meant to be lived; to learn how to be a better person for your family, friends, the world, but most importantly YOURSELF.

2013 had its ups and its downs, just like any other year. We travelled to new cities, and to our favourite ones too. We tried new things for the first time, like Cuban food! And the best thing that happened to us this year was finding out we were no longer just two, but THREE. God has blessed me with an amazing year full of love, laughter and peace with family, friends and community and I am always GRATEFUL of His generosity.
From my family to yours, may 2014 be full of love, peace and joy.
Happy New Day!
