Travel: Bily Compact Easy-Fold Stroller

We’re lucky enough to have several strollers on hand for different types of outings and travels. One of our most recent strollers is the Bily Compact Easy-Fold Stroller. We had originally received this stroller for our trip to Guadalajara, Mexico, but we missed each other by one day. So, as soon as we had another big trip roll around, we knew we had to take the Bily Stroller with us, along with one of our carriers.

The Bily stroller is fit for newborns up to 34 months old, 40 pounds and 37″, so it works perfectly for both of our kids. We figured that the kids could take turns on being in the stroller, if they were tired of walking or we were tired of wearing them. This trip was actually the first one where we used a stroller, usually we just travel with a carrier. But since there was going to be a lot of walking involved on this trip, we decided a stroller would be a great asset.

We started using the stroller as soon as we got to Vancouver International Airport, and it was a smooth push all the way through. My favourite feature of the Bily Compact Easy-Fold Stroller is that it has a quick & easy one-hand fold. Easy, peasy for the airport rush. It’s also ultra-lightweight- only 14.3 pounds, so you aren’t lugging around something heavy. It also meausures 18.5″w x 31.5″d x 41″h, when in use, so it doesn’t take up much room at all, which is great while travelling and using public transit. Folded dimensions are 18.5″w x 9″d x 25″h, so it folds up pretty compact.

Bily Compact Easy-Fold Stroller for City Travel

I assumed that the Bily Compact Easy-Fold Stroller would be good for our Euro trip because we were going to big cities, that had smooth pavements for the most part. The wheels are small at  5.25″, and the front wheels swivel; good for modern cities. What I didn’t realize it that although most of cities we were visiting were modern, there were some parts that were really old, full of character and still had cobblestone streets. The stroller definitely saw some trouble on the cobblestone, I do not recommend it. This stroller is best on smooth pave ways.

An important feature on any stroller, is that coveted full recline, which the Bily Compact stroller has. With multiple recline positions, my littlest had many comfortable naps in the stroller, especially during the long day at Dinseyland Paris. The canopy was also big enough to cover their faces from the sun. This stroller does come with a decent size basket under the seat, it is big and strong enough to carry a couple meals and the kids things. Oh, and the 5 point harness is good for my wiggly 2 year old, keeps him in nicely.

This stroller has been one of my favourites for travel because it is so light weight and compact. As long as the pavement is smooth, it’s easy to manoeuvre in tight/crowded spaces and rolls great. Included is the belly bar. And that it reclines completely so my toddler can be comfortable while napping. The colour and design is sleek, modern and minimalastic. I also love how easy it is to fold, with just one hand. No hassle! Both my 2 and 4 yr old really enjoyed sitting/sleeping in it. It is perfect for City life and I can’t wait to take it on more travels.

Do you still use strollers for travelling with kids?

PS, an interesting feature this stroller has is the adjustable footrest for comfy bassinet mode.
