Make it a December to remember with FlyOver Canada’s magical flight over the North Pole. This holiday season make sure to visit Vancouver’s must see attraction, Christmas at FlyOver Canada. It’s 8 minutes of fun for the whole family.
We started off the evening with a ‘Christmas at FlyOver Canada’ ride. FlyOver Canada is a virtual ride across Canada with breathtaking views. Seated in suspended air, you’re placed in front of a 4-storey spherical screen that takes you over Canada with extraordinary views and special effects that include wind, mist and exhilarating scents. It feels like a real-life flight over the Canadian landscape that is sure to leave you in awe.
Christmas at FlyOver Canada is a magical ‘twist’ of the FlyOver Canada ride! Instead of the usual flight, you’re joined by Santa Claus in the search for his ‘missing elves’, who appear at random during the flight. Viewers are encouraged to spot them, adding a little bit of fun and captivation by the youngsters in the crowd. There were lots of kids who were so excited to see the elves flying through the sky.
Once the flight over Canada was over, we were launched into Kris Kringle’s North Pole. With the wind blowing gingerbread scent our way, the animated scene of the North Pole came to life with a vibrance that honestly made me feel like a kid again. And also, made me hungry for the market to follow.
Holly Jolly Combo
Once we left the flight, we headed over to the Vancouver Christmas Market where we were treated to S’Mores, Hot Cocoa, Warm Apple Cider and Baileys and Cocoa (for an extra sweet treat). There were veggie platters galore and even a live band. Oh, and I can’t forget the real life Buddy from Elf (playing Will Ferrel’s hilarious character on point) that greeted us and set the mood for a fun and family friendly evening.
Save when visiting FlyOver Canada and the Vancouver Christmas Market with the Holly Jolly Combo available exclusively online! Christmas at FlyOver Canada is open daily from 10am – 9pm, until January 2nd, 2017. The ultimate flying ride starts every 15 – 20 minutes.
