Just because Summer is over, doesn’t mean the fun has to end! Thankfully, with Halloween and Christmas right around the corner, we have plenty to celebrate and look forward these next couple of months. There is always something to see and do in our beautiful neighbourhood, Hastings Sunrise. And you can count on neighbourhood friends and businesses to make Halloween extra fun, vibrant and even a little spooky, if you like!Below are a couple Halloween activities that are perfect for babies to toddlers/under 6.
October 15th- Hastings Sunrise Pumpkin Patch
- 11am – 3pm at Hastings Elementary School
1st Annual Hastings Sunrise Pumpkin Patch Festival! Choose a pumpkin for your Jack-O-Lantern, share some food, enjoy a live bluegrass band, and take part in fall-themed festivities and decorations. All are welcome, and admission is by donation. Any surplus proceeds will be donated to the Hastings Elementary Parent Advisory Committee.
October 22nd – Pumpkin Patch in the City
- 10 am – 4 pm 2131 Renfrew Street (Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House)
16th Annual Pumpkin Patch in the City. The day will be filled with fun activities, story telling, games, entertainment, and more. Admission is free!
October 27th- Halloween Parade at Family Place (Kiwassa)

October 29th- Halloween Carnival
October 29th – Trick of Treat on Hastings
- 12 pm – 3 pm
The 15th annual Trick or Treat on Hastings Street will take place this October. Join in on the fun as children dress up and collect treats on Hastings Street.
October 31st – Halloween at StrongStart (Tillicum)
- 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Dress up and bring a snack to share!
October 31st – Trick or Treat on Trinity Street
- After 5pm?
A neighbourhood favourite, trick or treating on Trinity Street, this street really goes all out for Halloween!
