Elena of Avalor Inspired DIY Christmas Crackers

The Holidays are right around the corner and the Elena of Avalor SEASON 1 DVD is the perfect gift for the little girls in your life! We have been fans of Elena of Avalor since Disney announced her arrival earlier this year, especially since she is the first Latina Disney Princess.

Ready to Rule, Elena of Avalor Season 1 is set in the enchanted fairytale land of Avalor. In Ready to Rule, we meet Elena, a brave and adventurous teenager who has saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress. We follow her on an epic adventure as she learns to rule as crown princess until she is old enough to be queen. Elena has quality traits that everybody should posses; thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of great global citizen (and leaders)!

To celebrate this release, we made an easy DIY Christmas cracker inspired by Disney’s Princess, Elena of Avalor. Christmas crackers are one of my favourite holiday DIY’s because they are so easy and quick to make. Plus, it’s an activity that is easy enough for little ones to help out with, or make on their own too!

Supplies Needed:

  • Toilet roll tube
  • Wrapping paper
  • Twine
  • Your favourite chocolates
  • Scissors

Elena of Avalor-Christmas Cracker DIY

  1. Cut your wrapping paper into large squares. I put the toilet roll tube in the middle of the wrapping paper and left about an inch on each side of it.
  2. Fill the toilet roll tube with chocolate.
  3. Put the toilet roll tube at the bottom of the wrapping paper and ROLL up until the tube is covered.
  4. Pinch the gift wrapping paper closest to the tube on both ends.
  5. Tie the ends with twine and voila, your Christmas cracker is complete!
