Our little moon has started teething, which means she is drooling and always putting stuff in her mouth, whether it be her fingers, Sophie, or anything she can get her tiny hands on.  On a typical teething day we can go thru several bibs and toys, which can be a bit of a hastle because some of the bibs aren’t very absorbent and get her clothes wet too. And the toys, well they happen to fall every once in a while, especially when we are out an about, so they get put away since they are dirty.

So when I heard about Cheeky Chomper’s Necherchew I was excited, it offered a practical solution to some of our teething problems.

The Neckerchew is an awesome 2-in-1 product, a drool bib with a teether attached to the bottom! Now I don’t have to worry about our little moon dropping, dirtying or loosing her teethers.

I wondered how Lunita would feel about her Neckerchew, and as soon as I put it on she was all giggles and grabbed the teether right away and put it right into her mouth. Moooove over Sophie, hehehe.

Besides being super cute, the Neckerchew is also very stylish, it comes in a variety of prints and colours. Oh, did I mention that it is reversible? I like that the Neckerchew is not shaped like your typical bib, it’s triangle shaped like a bandana, super fashionable! Our print is “Flutterby” with purple butterflies on one side and a solid pink reverse. The fabric is 100% cotton, soft and super absorbent, Luna can wear one from 10am-5pm and the drool wont soak thru the three layers, which totally impressed me. It also dries really quickly. It’s easy to clean, and after many washes, the Neckerchew is still in great condition!

One of my favorite things about the Neckerchew is the teether sewn onto the bib! What a brilliant idea, a teether that the baby can’t drop, dirty or loose. Awesome, right? The teether is surprisingly soft, pliable and durable. The teether is also made of silicone that doesn’t flake or peel and it’s BPA free, so I feel at ease knowing that my little moon can teeth safely. It has texture that helps baby’s teeth brake thru.

The Neckerchew grows with baby, it is one size with two adjustable snaps and is suitable from 2 months to 2 years. The snaps are strong enough so that Lunita can’t pull it off herself, but easy for an adult.

We are so happy with our Flutterby Neckerchew because Luna can grab, chew and drool without worrying that her teether will fall or her shirt wet. I’ve already added a couple more to our collection, you can pick them up at ToysRus.

Breastfeeding needs to be comfortable for mama and baby, especially since we do it  all day, everyday. Before receiving My Brest Friend I was using pillows to support my arms and her head. And I must admit that after a couple of minutes it wasn’t very comfortable for me; my arms, back and neck  ached. It seemed like I was always adjusting baby girl since the surface wasn’t firm.

As soon as I received My BrestFriend, I put it into use. I thought it was going to be a hastle to adjust it, but it was very easy. I simply wrapped My BrestFriend around my waist and clicked the buckle. The waist strap is easy to adjust  for the perfect fit.

My BrestFriend is firm and flat, which keeps baby girl close to me and latched-on. My BrestFriend has a back rest that helps posture during feeding, which totally prevented my back and neck from aches. There are also arm/elbow rests that prevent my shoulder tension.

The fabric is soft and plush. The cover is easy to clean; you can machine wash on gentle cycle or even spot clean. There is also a convenient pocket on My BrestFriend that is great for storing nursing accessories and anything else you want to have within reach. I usually had chapstick, burp cloth, nipple cream, granola bar, and a watter bottle in the pocket.

My Brest Friend retails for $51. I highly recommend this product for all breastfeeding mothers, it really makes breastfeeding more comfortable.

This particular Kaia is part of the special edition Maxi-Cosi “Bohemian Blue”  Collection.  For me, it was love at first sight with the Kaia Bohemian Blue; it has Nina written all over it, playful, free spirited, adventurous and happy.  The Bohemian vibe quickly got my attention, you can’t help but smile when looking at it, right? The Maxi-Cosi Kaia is a light weight umbrella stroller that is perfect for every family. It can be used from birth with an infant car seat up to 50 lbs;  it actually comes with the car seat adaptors for the Maxi-Cosi Mico and Prezi. The Kaia is very easy to assemble, you simply insert the wheels into place until you hear a click. It took me about a minute to insert all four wheels. The wheels are small and made out of hard rubber, phew, no need to pump here. The front wheels swivel and have a lock option as well. I like the “brake” system on the Kaia, it’s very easy to use. You gently step down on the “red” to lock the rear tires and on the “blue” to release the lock. The basket is large for an umbrella stroller, it easily fits my large diaper bag. I actually managed to put some groceries in their when I went out the other day.  The basket is removable (snaps) for washing, which is awesome, because we all know how filthy these baskets can get! The Kaia is a convenient stroller; I use it for walks, running errands, and even shopping. It is very smooth and easy to steer. I’ve tested it out in my local grocery store where the aisles are tight and can confidently push and steer with one hand, without worrying about bumping into people or the wall/aisle. I also like that I can quickly and easily fold (and unfold) the Kaia up to either put away for storage or into our car’s trunk for outings. What pleasantly surprised me was that the Kaia not only folds compactly, but it also stands upright. This is perfect for my family because we live in a small space and need all the extra room we can get; the Kaia fits right into our small jacket closet. So, just how easy is it to fold? First, you must unlock the frame by lifting a lever in the back with your foot. Then pull two levers (one located on each handle) and push down until Kaia folds and you hear the lock. The Kaia has several parts that can be removed for easy cleaning: (1)Canopy, (2) Straps, (3) Bohemian Blue (striped) Cover, and (4) basket. Once you remove the seat cover, a natural beige seat is revealed. The Kaia has a multi position recling seat, but does not recline all the way flat, so you can’t use it for a newborn (must use carseat adaptor). To recline the seat, you can use one hand with the strap system, but in order to sit back up, you must use both. The leg rest is adjustable, perfect for my little one. It has a 5 point padded harness system. The buckle is a little hard to buckle/unbuckle, I have to use both hands. A cup holder is included with that Kaia, which was a wonderful surprise because most strollers don’t come with one. You can insert the cup holder on either side of the handle bars, and switch sides too! It fits my coffee tumbler and water bottle. I especially like that it does not move/tip over. Before being a mom, even when I was pregnant in fact, I seemed to have so much time on my hands that I didn’t know what to do! And now that I’m a MOM to an almost 3 month old it’s the opposite, hahaha. I always seem to be doing something; between feeding, changing diapers/clothes, doing laundry, and putting her to sleep (which is a long process!) it feels like I sometimes can’t have a break. I mean, sometimes, I’m feeding her and I really need to pee, and there I go…with baby in tow, latched on eating away. Hahaha, I do this when I feel like we are on a roll with the feeding (about to deep sleep), I shouldn’t interfere because I may have to start the process all over again.

When she is finally asleep I can put her down comfortably into her Little Lounger and get at least fifteen minutes (usually her deep sleep gives me an hour)  to get things done around the house, like that mountain of dishes in the sink or that pile of laundry that is waiting to be washed.

Don’t get me wrong, I put her down in her Graco Little Lounger when she is awake too, especially when I need fifteen minutes to take that much needed shower. I just pop her in the lounger and slide it into the washroom, and she is entertained with the vibrating or gazing into the stars mobile.

The Graco Little Lounger is great for when Luna is asleep or awake because besides vibrating, it has the two recline options. The plush fabrics and body support seem to mold to her body, which I bet is very comfortable for her. I kind of reminds me of a hammock.

I really like the Graco Little Lounger because it doubles as a rocking seat and a vibrating lounger. It has “locks” that you flip down to make it a  stationary vibrating lounger.  It also has two vibrating options, which Luna likes, she is always oohing when I turn it on.

As a new mom, I really appreciate being able to get fifteen minutes to prep a quick meal or make that yummy smoothie, and Luna loves being carried, so sometimes it can get a little tricky. Before the Little Lounger I would feel guilty when I put her down on her play mat, I’d feel a little nervous that our cat would pounce on her or something…and now, I don’t feel guilty because I put her into the Little Lounger and know that she is not only comfortable, but safe. 🙂

Pañales, los primeros no tienen mucho olor, pero a medida que pasan las semanas,  parecen ser un poco más apestosos. Seran Los Frijoles?  Hahaha. Me imagino que huelen mas cuando van creciendo. Nosotros le cambiamos los pañales en nuestra habitación la mayoría del tiempo por lo que el control de olores es importante, no queremos una habitación apestosa.
