The basics of introducing solid food to your baby with PC® Organics

Introducing solid foods to your baby can be a little overwhelming with so much information from websites/books and family/friends. It can even cause confusion when one person is telling you to start solids at 4 months, and another person is telling you to start at 6. To this day, my parents are still on our case that we introduced solid foods “too late” to Luna because she is a “picky eater.” *rolls eyes* hahaha I hope my mom doesn’t ready this, or else I’m going to get la chancelta thrown at me hahahaha.

Anyways, below are some helpful tips for introducing solid foods to your baby. Please note that it is recommended to wait until 6 months to introduce solid food.

Know the Signs

I breastfed Luna exclusively for the first seven months, and am still going strong at 19 months with appropriate complementary feeding. I started introducing solids to her as soon as noticed that she was interested in our food. She would try and reach for our food, or open her mouth when she saw us eating. Your baby may be ready for the transition to solid foods when you see the following signs:  holding their heads up and sitting upright in their high chair or seat, opening their mouths proactively for food when it is offered and turning away when they don’t care for it, and closing their lips over a spoon when its offered, keeping food in their mouth and swallowing.

Take Baby Steps

Introducing solid food to your baby is exciting, but remember to take baby steps. It’s best to to take a slow and steady approach to introducing new foods. The first solid food that Luna tried was a banana, and she didn’t like it. I tried it again another day, and she still didn’t like it. A year later I am still trying to get her to eat banana and she just wont budge, hahaha. She’ll have a bit, chew and then spit it out! And I’ve tried giving it to her different ways; whole, sliced, diced, mushed and even frozen…nada. We tried beans next, and she LOVED them, any kind of beans: chick, pinto, white, turtle, kidney, she’ll take it! PHEW.Always introduce new foods when your baby is happy and hungry to ensure a great first impression. Also, offer single foods first before offering blends of flavours. If your little one doesn’t like something, try it again another day.

Lead by Example

foodiesfeed.com_DSC_0015-4

We always try to have our meals together as a family, especially dinner. I find that Luna eats best when she is served the same food as “the adults” (in a form they can eat) since she likes to pick from our plates. Even though she may not always eat everything on her plate, it is important for us (and her) to still serve her a plate of food at the table so that she learns healthy eating habits. From healthy dinner favourites like roasted chicken and veggies, to sweet treats like abuelita’s famous banana bread, Luna eats the same meals we do. With baby food like PC® Organics food pouch your baby can easily enjoy the same nutritious food your family does. Remember that your baby learns to eat by watching you, so lead by example and never turn your nose up at a new food in front of your child since they may notice and mimic the behaviour.

Unplug During Meal Times

In our home, we try hard to not have any electronics on during our meal time. I know it can be really hard, especially when there is a new episode of Survivor, This Hour Has 22 Minutes or Rick Mercer, so we are guilty of having our TV on during dinner sometimes. But, we are a little stricter when it comes to tablets and cell phone during meal time, they are not brought to the table, so that we don’t have ANY distractions. Focusing on your meal will teach your baby that meal time is important. Remember, families that eat together, eat healthier.

Introduce Iron-Rich Foods First

HNCK5665

At around six months of age, the iron stores that babies are born with begin to decline and they need iron-rich foods to meet the nutrient needs of their fast growing bodies. Luna loves to eat salmon, eggs, beans which are iron-rich foods. I also like making her smoothie popsicles with iron-rich veggies and vitamin C, to help her absorb the iron. It is common in Canada that  iron-fortified infant cereals like PC® Organics Mixed Grains baby cereal is the first solid food introduced to baby.

Spice Things Up

aromatherapy-herbs-1318589

Plain food can get boring, at least for us. Gabriel and I love that extra flavour, we’ve always cooked with a mix of herbs and spices, so it’s no wonder why Luna loves it too. Obviously, if something has a little bit of a kick, we reduce it for Luna. She loves butter chicken. Gabriel is a salty man, he loves to put it on everything, even when it doesn’t need it, so I have been working with him to limit the amount he adds when he is cooking, since it is unhealthy for our baby’s diet. I suggest he adds fresh or dried herbs and spices to switch flavours up. I also don’t have a salt shaker in my house, lol..and if he wants to add salt to his food, he has to take his plate to the kitchen and manually grind the salt crystals there. Try spicing up PC® Organics Strained Unsweetened Applesauce with a small pinch of cinnamon, yumm!

Stay Hydrated

We started giving Luna water at six months, she would drink small amounts from our cups. Water helps ease digestion, reduce tooth decay and prevents dehydration. We would offer her water during the day, especially during meals. She loves carrying her water bottle around and a meal time drinks from her own cup.

It can be difficult to know when to transition your little one to solid food while ensuring they get the nutrients they need. With so many conflicting resources available, it can also be challenging to know who to listen to. While you always want to ensure your baby is reaching each eating milestone, you also want to ensure his or her individual needs are being met. Your local Loblaws® Registered Dietitian is a great place to start to discuss your specific questions and  concerns. A Loblaws® Registered Dietitian is available in Loblaws® stores in BC, they can field your specific questions and provide you with professional advice you can trust. You can find your closest Loblaws® Registered Dietitian here.

Now that you have read a little bit about our experience of introducing solid foods to Luna and some of our tips, I would love to know at how many months did you introduce solid foods to your baby? And do you have any tips to add to the list?

Little Lime by Limeapple, Age Appropriate Girls Clothes.

Shopping is a ton of fun, especially when I am buying cute things for Little Moon. Sometimes I can spend hours browsing through online shops and even fill up my cart, but when I’m about to “check-out” there’s always something that holds me back, especially when I am shopping for Luna. I always seem to have these two questions on my mind when shopping online…

  • Is this age appropriate?

I feel like society is geared towards making kids grow up so quickly. I am glad that Summer is over because it was really hard to find some “normal” shorts for Luna. I mean I kept on finding short shorts and even crop tops or “shark bite” shirts. I often found myself in the little boys section and buying her shorts from that department because the shorts were actually knee length or just above the knee. Oh gaaaaaawsh, and don’t even get me started on finding age appropriate bathing suits for toddlers. Why do only boys get long sleeved rash-guards and board shorts?! Ugh, that’s a post for another day..

Pffft, which reminds me, the other day we were in a children’s department store and walked by the underwear area, and there were PADDED BRAS! I couldn’t believe it, why would someone make a padded bra for a LITTLE GIRL? Way to set “standards” and brain wash her into thinking she needs to appear “bigger.” Just let little girls be little girls. Oh,and have you seen some of the children’s Halloween costumes, specifically little girls costumes?

Oh right, on to question number two… (I got distracted, sorry).

  • How is the quality?

One of the disadvantages of buying online is that you never know how the quality of the garment is until you receive it. Sometimes, you can receive pieces from the same store that have different quality, its happened to me a couple of times. You order something that looks nice in the photo and when you receive it, it doesn’t look as good/high quality.

So one day while browsing online I stumbled upon Limeapple, a Canadian brand that believes in little girls being little girls for as long as possible. And that’s evident in their wide variety of feminine, fun girls’ clothes that range in sizes 12 months to 14 that fit, flatter, move and breathe.adelinalittlelimebylimeapple-ninaonthemoonreview-latinablogger-ageappropriategirlsclothes

I absolutely fell in love with the energetic, bright, comfortable and age-appropriate clothes. One Little Lime set that really caught my eye was Adelina. I mean, just look at the cascading hearts, bright pink and stripes. Cute, right? I couldn’t wait to receive our Little Lime set to put it to the test.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received our Adelina set. It’s even cuter in person, very age appropriate. But, what I was impressed by the most, was the quality. The fabric feels AMAZING. The fabric has a bit of spandex which helps it retain its shape after so much play (and washing)! After months of washing, the colour is just as vibrant as the first day we received it. And the shape has kept up as well. Luna is wearing a size 2T, which gives her some growing room 🙂ninaonthemoon-littlelimeageappropriatetoddlergirlsclothes-canadiankidsbrand-limeapple

Luna has been wearing her Adelina set for several months now and we love how comfortable it is. It fits Luna perfectly; breathable (not tight), and allows Luna to move around comfortably and play while looking super cute. There is no need to sacrifice comfort for style!

Limeapple sets and individual pieces can be mixed and matched, or worn separately, creating unique and fun outfits, which rocks for when your child wants to start picking out (styling) their own clothes.

Limeapple offers comfortable styles that are as easy to wear as they are fun to look at, take a look at Limeapple.ca, which set catches your eye?

ChooMee, The Perfect Snack Pouch Solution™!

I remember when baby food only came in bulky glass jars and cup. Parents weren’t able to give their baby/toddler the glass jar full of puree, because of 1) glass is breakable and 2)what a mess. Baby food in glass jars is a thing of the past!  Baby food has taken a a new shape; flexible, resealable pouches are quickly replacing traditional bulky glass jars and cups.

Resealable pouches are very convenient, they allow parents and babies a bit of independence and freedom when it comes to feeding. We use food pouches when we know we are going to be out for a couple of hours. Oh, and we love to use them during road-trips. Pouches come in a multitude of brands, flavours, stages and sizes, but they ALL have on thing in common: A sharp, rigid, plastic spout that their food dispenses from.

Although we love our pouches, we often hesitated to give Lunita one because she would squeeze the pouch and food would EXPLODE in every direction and when she was teething, she would bite the spout and hurt her gums. So, we found ourselves holding the pouch while she sucked the food, in order to regulate the mess. More than often pouch feeding results in: a crying child, a mushy mess, wasted food and wasted money.

choomee-sipnsofttop-perfectsnackpouchsoloution-review-vancouverblogger-latinamombloggerThat is until I discovered ChooMee Sip’n Soft Top. ChooMee created the first and only pouch top providing flow control and cap. The Sip’n soft top is a chewy silicone valve used for pouch feeding which provides multiple features and critical benefits for both baby and parent. Honestly, the ChooMee Sip’n Soft Top has probably been one of my favourite baby product finds because not only has it made my job a little easier, but it has helped Little Moon’s independence. I am no longer having to hold the pouch, or hover over her when she holds the pouch on her own because I know that there won’t be any mess. Ugh, I remember how she would freak out when I would hold the pouch because she wanted to hold it all on her own, but I wouldn’t let her because she would squeeze the pouch and the food would just go everywhere…stains on her clothes, wasted food and money.

Luna also enjoys chewing on the Sip’n Soft Top, especially when she is teething, so it serves as a double purpose. It is BPA and Pthalate free, so no need to fret.

ChooMee Sip’n Soft Top easily attaches to food pouches to ensure that you maximize  pouch performance. Make sure to push down until you hear a “click” to ensure the cap is on securely, or you can have a mess on your hands. SIP IT: Attach to pouch to protect child’s mouth and control the flow of food. CAP IT: Fold-over cap to securely close your pouch when baby feels full. Can save for later.STRAP IT: Wrap the strap around your pouch top to easily pair them on-the-go.

ChooMee-sipnsofttop-pouchfeeding-perfectpouchsnacksolution-review-vancouvermom-latinablogger

Forget the chewing and squeezing that leads to spilling and screaming, ChooMee is The Perfect Snack Pouch Solution. 4 key benefits:

  1. Protect Mouth: The Sip’n features a  chewy soft silicone valve designed to fully cover the rigid plastic spout of  a pouch. Finally baby can comfortably chew away while snacking.
  2. Prevent Spills:  The Sip’n includes a critical flow control valve that prevents the mess and keeps food within pouch where it belongs, until there is pressure from sipping (Sip’n!)
  3. Maximize Nutrition:By controlling pouch flow and preventing spills, the Sip’n not only minimizes pouch waste but can also maximizes baby’s caloric intake. Every healthy sip counts and using a Sip’n soft top means more food makes it to their little mouth.
  4. Promote Independence: Transitioning from milk to solid food is a significant stride toward independence. A heavy weight is lifted when baby no longer depends on mom for each individual bite. Our Sip’n eliminates pouch frustration and allows babies to hold and eat on their own.

ChooMee Sip’n Soft Top is reusable. It’s super easy to clean with soapy water. It’s also resistant to both food odors and colour stains, so you don’t have to worry. The Sip’n Soft Top can also be purchased in a convenient travel case and is available in 4 different colours, make sure to check out the different Sip’n Soft Top packs available at ChooMee.com.

I’d love to know whether or not you have heard or used of ChooMee Sip’n Soft Top before.

5 Reasons why you’ll love MAM Anti-Collic Bottle (and Trainer)

We’ve all had to soothe a fussy newborn before, right? Trying just about anything to get the baby to calm down and relax. It can be pretty stressful for all parties involved, even for those who aren’t doing the soothing or fussing, LOL. Well, did you know that for the one in four babies that suffer from colic, having the right bottle can make all the difference. The MAM Anti-Collic bottle helps reduce the stress associated with newborn feedings and decreases colic symptoms in babies by 80 percent. MAM Anti-Collic bottle’s innovative nipple designs helps make switching between MOM (breastfeeding) and MAM (bottle feeding) smoother.

I personally love this bottle because it is SO EASY to clean. You take it apart, wash it and can sterilize in the micowave. I never had to worry about bacteria build up, phew. Below are 5 reasons why you have to try the MAM Anti-Collic Bottle:

5reasonstoloveMAManticollicbottle-review-latinabloggervancouver

Breast milk & Formula

MAM Anti-Collic Bottle is suitable for both breast milk and formula.

Vented Base Eliminates Air Pockets

Patented ventilation holes in its base regulate the pressure balance of baby’s milk, allowing it to flow evenly without bubbles for reduced gas.  The design features an innovative silicone seal to prevent milk from leaking out during mealtime.

Silk Teat Nipple Reduces Nipple Confusion

MAM’s patented Silk Teat nipple is specially designed to feel instinctively familiar to baby for optimal comfort and reduced nipple confusion.  Suitable for both breast milk and formula, the nipples feature an ultra-soft, silky smooth silicone surface and orthodontic shape for easier feedings.  The nipples come in four sizes to meet baby’s feeding needs at every stage: 1 (slow flow), 2 (medium flow), 3 (fast flow) and X (extra fast).

Functional Design for Easier Filling and Cleaning

The bottle’s savvy design makes it a pleasure to use.  A wide mouth allows for easier filling and washing and an easy-to-read, oversized scale on the bottle’s side helps measure milk accurately. The cap also has a measure for formula.

Self-Sterilizing Design for Easy Cleaning

Yes, you read right! Self- Sterilizing! Como?

It’s actually very quick,  safely sterilize an empty MAM Anti-Collic Bottle in the microwave in a few simple steps. One of my favourite features because it is perfect for travel or on-the-go feedings, this feature helps eliminate any concern that baby’s bottle is unclean or contaminated.

After bottle feeding with MAM’s Anti-Colic bottle, baby remains calm and relaxed because they don’t swallow any air. Like all MAM products, the anti-colic bottles are BPA-free, phthalate-free, PVC-free, lead-free and CPSIA-compliant.  The bottles are microwave safe, dishwasher safe in the upper rack, and are completely shatter-proof.

MAM offers real solutions for real parenting with an award-winning range of smart and simple products. The MAM collection includes pacifiers, bottles, cups, teethers, and oral care items.

I really like the unique design elements MAM Anti-Colic bottles because it made newborn feeding a little less stressful.NEW MAM Logo

MAM TRAINER

We are also fans of the MAM Trainer, which made the transition from breastfeeding to cup easy- thanks to the combination of the innovative spill-free  soft spout.  I really like that the Trainer has the “MAM valve concept.” This means that the Trainer can be switched from spill-free to “free-flow” by detaching the valve.

The Trainer comes with non-slip handles that are especially designed for small baby hands and provide a good hold. The non-slip handles can be used on all of the MAM Bottles and Trainer.

The MAM Anti-Colic Bottle and MAM Trainer are available at leading mass and online retailers nationwide, including Walmart, Buy Buy Baby, Target.com, and Diapers.com. For more information, please visit www.mambaby.com.

How to make combing your toddler’s hair hastle free, quickly and efficiently!

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Johnson’s® and Latina Bloggers Connect.

Put your hand up if you remember when your mom brushed your hair when you were a little girl? Uhm, I specifically remember how she used to tug through my knots. Oh, and how I would lean back so that it wouldn’t hurt as much when she was trying to detangle my hair. That would only make her brush harder or say “quedate quieta cipota.” Hahaha.

Back then there was only water to spray into those nuddos, and lets face it, that didn’t really make to much of a difference. If anything, I felt que te enredaba el pelo mas. Am I right? I used to dread the morning because I knew my mom was going to peinarme y jalarme el pelo para sacarme los nudos, para hacerme una peinado muy bonito (sea una cola o trenza). Sometime having a good hair came with a couple of “ouches” and “sit still!.” Not fun for both parties.

Bueno, now a days, ni se diga. Everyone and there momma has some sweet method to make brushing thru those tough knots a lot easier. Woo-hoo, thank goodness. Because my Little Moon has a TON of hair (thick), and girrrrl can it get knotty, especially after waking up. That bed head of hers, is a whole lotta knotty. And I can’t get myself to just comb thru it when it’s really knotty because I have flash backs from my childhood. Jajaja and I don’t want to put my Little Moon thru that…

Our Little Moon loves getting her hair brushed and I want to keep it that way. So a detangler is ALWAYS a good idea. It makes it super easy to get brush thru the knots and put her hair into either a cola de caballo, pig tails or braids. Yes, braids!

johnsonsbaby-tangletalk-nomoretangles-detanglingsprayline

JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® makes combing my baby girls hair a breeze. JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® detangling spray goes to work instantly to unlock your baby’s knots and tangles in dry or wet hair for easy trouble-free combing. Good hair days should be fun for both parties involved.

NO MORE TANGLES® frees parents to have fun with their toddlers’ style & avoid getting tangled up in the knots of managing it. We love that you can make your baby’s haircare manageable and untangled during or after bathtime with JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®detangling spray, which provides extra detangling for both wet and dry hair.

Oh, and get this, Gabriel even used this detangler when his hair was long too! He loved how quick and effective it was. So there you have it, JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®  isn’t just for your kid(s), you can use it too! I love it when products can be used by all ages, get the bang for your buck, right?

Listed below is the JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®collection:

  • JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Thin & Straight
  • JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Detangling Spray
  • JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Leave-in Conditioner
  • JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Thick and Curly

I’d love to hear about your hair brushing routine, do you use detangler on your child/yourself?

Other Uses for Huggies® Wipes, that aren’t on baby! “Because Kids Outgrow Diapers, Not Messes”

I never really understood why some of my girlfriends who didn’t have babies/kids had wipes in their house, or even in their bags. I guess I didn’t pay enough attention to what they were using them for then, “to each it’s own” I must’ve thought! Anyways, now that I think about those friends, and now that I use wipes, it’s CLICKED. I totally understand why people who have no kids or kids in diapers use wipes! Because there are about a billion and one uses for wet wipes. It doesn’t matter how old you are because Huggies® Wipes are a great way to clean up any family’s mess, not just babys!

Huggies® Wipes can be used for SO many other things. With its triple clean technology, Huggies Wipes are perfect for those unexpected messes! Like that spilled coffee in your car, or the mascara that claims to be waterproof, but while watching The Notebook for the hundredth time you realize it isn’t hahaha. With its exclusive and unprecedented TripleClean™ technology, which no other wipe can tout, no mess is too messy for Huggies® Wipesninaonthemoon-101usesforhuggieswipesbecausekidsoutgrowdiapersnotmesses

We highly recommend you store a pack of wipes in your car, like us! It’ll save you some time, and keep your car (and many other things,  kids and pets clean too. We like to keep a pack of wipes in the glove compartment and one in the back seat pocket, near LittleMoon. The Clutch ‘n’ Clean is great because it is re-usable, you can refill with as many time as needed. and is slim enough to fit into small spaces. I often find that we use them in the car after we are done eating a “drive-thru” meal or giving LittleMoon a snack, to wipe our hands and mouth. Also, to wipe down any drinks or sauces that have been spilled. I specifically remember using them after a hike in the Valley, we had to wipe our shoes down since they were pretty filthy.

ninaonthemoon-keephuggieswipesinthecarglovecompartmentforquickcleanups-101usesforhuggieswipes

We also keep some wipes in the kitchen, stroller caddy, gym bag, and diaper bag, for obvious reasons. 😛

Below are some of the many ways you can put these handy wipes to good use:

  • Toilet paper substitute.
  • Wiping down your pets paws after being outdoors.
  • Wiping down your pets paw prints.
  • Cleaning the inside of your car.
  • Removing marker, pen, pencil and crayons from skin.
  • Wiping down yoga mat after class.
  • Wiping down armpits.
  • Removing deodorant stains from clothes.
  • Wiping down restaurant  high chairs.
  • Wiping down the handle bar on the grocery buggy.

Did you know that you can also add vinegar to your wipes? To clean your kitchen counters? Or you can add an essential oil, like lavender too, to keep drawers/closet smelling nice. A quick tip is to keep some wipes within arms reach, that way messes get cleaned up so quickly, nobody will ever notice.

Celebrate how babies bring out the best in all of us with Pampers #BetterForBaby

Disclaimer: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMe Media and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Pampers believes that even though babies are little, they are powerful agents of change. Babies have a profound impact on our lives and on the world. When a baby comes into your life, you want to be a better person for that baby. Babies bring out the best in each of us. They make our lives better. And that’s why there’s nothing each of us wouldn’t do to make life better for babies.ninaonthemoon-pampers-betterforbaby-babiesbringoutthebestinallofus-dimemedia

From the very beginning, as in the day Gabriel and I found out that we were going to be blessed with our first child, we knew we were going to have to improve some things in our lives- and make it a lifestyle. For example, before finding out I was pregnant, we would rarely have breakfast, or balanced meals. And the day we found out I was pregnant, we took a pledge that we would NEVER skip breakfast again! We also promised each other that we would eat healthy, and not skip meals.

We did this because it was important for us to have a healthy lifestyle, especially for when our baby would be born. So we could lead by example and show her healthy eating habits.

There are a couple other things we did in order to prepare ourselves for our baby, like enrolling in a first-aid course, and doing yoga and meditation together. I didn’t expect  us to change much more, but  when our Little Moon blessed us with her presence out here, we did. Gabriel and I grew so much, as individuals, partners, family, and global citizens. I’ve learned to be patient, to multi-task, and be more involved in our community. We are eager to continue learning, exploring and sharing this beautiful journey with her.IMG_3712

And we continue to strive to be the best version of ourselves because Little Moon brings out the best of us. There’s nothing each of us wouldn’t do to make life #BetterForBaby. Pampers believes that babies bring out the best in all of us. Pampers has unveiled a new video – The Pampers Better for Baby video– to celebrate the many ways babies bring out the best in all of us.IMG_5280

Taslie Natural & Organic Skin Care Review

In our house we love trying out new NATURAL and ORGANIC (actually natural, and not GREEN WASHED) products. Especially for Little Moon’s bath time. So, I thought it would be a great idea to share some of our favourite NATURAL and ORGANIC baby bath products with you via reviews.

We discovered Taslie Skin Care when Little Moon was just a few months old, and have been using it consistently for almost a year now! 🙂

Taslie natural and organic skin care creates products that are gentle on the most sensitive skin. Taslie products are biodegradable and specially formulated to cleanse and moisturize with natural and organic ingredients. Taslie believes a fantastic product is as important as environmentally friendly packaging. Just take a look at their cute, fun recyclable and biodegradable packaging. Taslie products are recyclable HDPE bottles and soy printed labels.

_Ninaonthemoon-TaslieSkinCareReview-naturalcheekybumwash-headtotoebodywash-madeincanada-

Taslie Skin Care products are natural, PH Balanced, Hypo- Allergenic and Tearless.

Taslie Skin Care does NOT contain: Sodium Laureth Sulphates, Lanolin, Parabens, Triclosan, Pthalates, Synthetic Colours or Fragrances. And last, but not least, they are NOT tested on animals.

Head to Toe Body Wash is one of our favourite bath products because it is a 3 in 1 product, it may be used on hair, body or as a natural bubble bath. We love the soft scent of mandarin and vanilla essential oil, which is so relaxing and gets Little Moon in the mood for bedtime. Taslie’s Head to Toe Body Wash is specially formulated to cleanse and moisturize with natural ingredients. Gabriel and I like Taslie’s Head to Toe Body Wash so much that we even use it sometimes too.

As some of you know, Lunita is in cloth diapers and we only use wipes when we are out and about. When we are at home, we usually have a spray bottle/cloth wipes for diaper changes or just wash her under the sink. I was excited when I saw that Taslie also makes a natural Cheeky Bum Wash, which is designed to gently cleanse the most sensitive skin in between diaper changes. All ingredients are natural and plant based and can be used to calm and soothe any skin irritations. Fresh, fruity scent of grapefruit and mandarin essential oil. This bottle, like the rest of the Taslie products are recyclable and biodegradable.

Taslie products are proudly made in Canada, eh! Which product would you be interested in trying out?

Tiny Teethers Silicone Teething Necklace Review

No teething experience is the same, every child is different. From when teeth emerge to the symptoms they have, and that’s totally normal. For example, one of our little friends is just breaking a tooth in at 13 months, and our Little Moon now has 7 teeth and 4 molars emerging, OUCH! Symptoms of teething can be short, or linger around for some time. And some of these teething symptoms include, but are not limited to drooling, biting/chewing on everything , difficulty sleeping, lower appetite, and irritability.

When I notice a couple of these symptoms together, I know that my Little Moon is teething and I quickly offer remedies to  treat the discomfort. When we are home, I will usually give her a couple teething tablets, frozen fruit, veggies to chew on. But there are times where we are out and about and I don’t have any homeopathic teething tablets or frozen goodies for her to chew on, and thankfully I have been wearing my Tiny Teethers, silicone teething necklace, phew!

Tiny Teethers, silicone necklace has now become one of my favourite accessories because it’s not only fashionable, but functional! Before, I would tuck my necklace into my shirt because I didn’t want to worry about Little Moon putting it into her mouth, tug it so hard she would brake it. Or, I would just opt-out of wearing a necklace, it was so much easier. But since discovering Tiny Teethers, silicone teething necklaces I have been wearing a necklace almost daily, especially when we are going out.

Tiny Teethers are teething necklaces that look good on mom and are safe for babies to chew or suck on, a win-win for both parties! 🙂 Tiny Teethers are made of solicone, the same material used for pacifiers and bottle nipples. They are free of BPA, Lead, cadmium and pthalates.

Luna loves to teeth on my Tiny Teethers necklace while she is in her carrier or sitting in my lap. She also loves to play with it while nursing (sensory tool). I’ve also been able to use it at restaurants when she is being fussy, I will snap it off and put it on the high chair so she can play/teeth on it. I also really like that it is super easy to clean, simply wash with soap and water.

Tiny Teethers offers affordable, on-trend styles and colours while being completely safe for baby to touch, tug and teethe on. I love my ivory Tiny Teether silicone necklace, the colour and simplicity of the round beads allows for this necklace to match well with any outfit. So I never have to think twice, I just grab it, put it on and voila 😉 Looks great.

El poder de las caricias a tu bebe

This is a sponsored campaign in collaboration with JOHNSON’S® and Latina Bloggers Connect. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Time was at a stand-still, no podia quitar mis ojos de este hermoso regalo de Dios, mi hija.

Nos gusta tambien aprovechar bath time, para estimular su sentidos de olfato y tacto (oliendo y jugando con los bubbles), the brain’s process for learning is enhanced when multiple senses are stimulated versus just using one. Despues de su baño la secamos bien y hacemos un masajito con asiete de lavender, para que se relaje y este lista para dormir. Research has revealed routine touch and massage by a parent or loving caregiver is critical to baby’s growth and development, communication and learning.

By age three, 85% of a baby’s brain is developed, so it’s important to engage with your child from the first moments of his or her life
