Hasta Luego, Summer!

Today, is officially the last day of summer! As mentioned before,I am so excited for fall!! :)  Not only because of how I like to see the leaves change colors; my birthday, my anniversary, and thanksgiving, toques/scarfs, pumpkin spice lattes, halloween and  the love of  wearing layers!
What are some of your highlights from summer? …i’ll TRY TO KEEP my list short: going to nj/nyc,attending my first wedding&being a bridesmaid.also being maid of honour in the second wedding i attended a month after the 1st, throwing a surprise bday 4 my fiance, went to CirqueDeSoleil 4the 1st time, went to the fair,MOVING OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME!

reach 4 the stars,baby!

buenas noches, hope everyone had a good day! or for those of you who are a day ahead…buenos dias, have a good day :) *yes, that’s one of our babies, the star watcher! :) we are obsessed with looking at the stars/moon at night!heheh so i took a random pic with it!

This is what I wore today, I wanted to rock something that said “chillin, like a villain” and still be warm, lol, especially because it was raining/breeeeezy. So yep, today was a chillin day, Gabriel & I had our bkfast at like noon, i ate my fave mini wheats with vanilla yogurt(mmm) & made him scrambled eggs/turkey sausage &toast! and then we were off to the music shop to buy his acoustic! (he is playing it now, as we speak!)

A very special day: One year engagement, Twenty-forth birthday, First blog giveaway

Exactly one year ago, today (September 9, 2009), Gabriel proposed to me! :) He did it on the field of one of the biggest soccer stadiums in the world, “El Azteca” in Mexico City, Mexico.(fact: This stadium hold 107,494 seats!) This day was already special even before he proposed because we were going to watch the game, which was a World Cup Qualifying match between Mexico (where Gabriel is from) and Honduras (where my parents are from, and basically I’m a the craziest Honduras soccer fan!lolz)….

It’s a verrrrrrry long story (that i love, but i think may bore you, lol) about how he planned everything!  and how his cousin and him had tricked me into thinking that we were getting field access because Gigo (cousin) had to do a report on the fan atmosphere for  work(TvAzteca).. How i didn’t realize Gigo was filming me the whole time, while i recorded myself! lol. Here’s the video, that i recorded…it’s the 3 clips i took on my camera: the one before the proposal, and 1 after, and during the game :)

      GRRRR-EEN TGRRRR

HELLO READERS!!! sorry, the last few days have been pretty intense with work & looking for a new place to live!! AHHH, i am so excited to move out, This is the first time I do it! SO this is the outfit I wore when my Fiance and I went to see a few properties on Sunday.
I have a lot of pieces that I have had for a few months now, and have actually just started wearing them this month! Guuuuuh, I know!!! It’s just that sometimes I need a little more inspiration in order to put an interesting/unique piece together with a “regular”, or “not so unique piece”, so that it doesn’t look wrong, or doesn’t represent my vibe/style/mood/ME.  did that make any sense??
for instance, my inspiration for this look was: professional/modern/military-army/  -what vibe comes across to you??

The jacket is thrifted (label says Dior, lol, I’m pretty sure it’s NOT!). lol.  BTW, i love this jacket because of the AMAZING collar print! it’s a tiger! check picture in CLOSEUPS~The belt is also thrifted & vintage. I wore a black wife beater under from F21.My bangles are F21.Jeans F21. Shoes BCBG. Briefcase: Ermenegildo Zegna. Oh yeah, my glasses are vintage (fiance’s grandpa’s!)

don’t be afraid to mix things up & dress up!

While I was in Guadalajara(Mexico) a few months ago, I decided that I wanted to play dress up with my sister-in-laws. I looove to mix things together and draw/paint…so I told them my idea, but they weren’t really down to paint on their face, but low and behold…I CONVINCED THEM! :)  So yep, I’m on the left, Monica is in the middle, & Mariana is on the right. I put our oufits together…heheh and ALSO convinced my fiance to take the pictures!

I bought a vintage dress at my favorite thrift store about 4 months ago, but I had never worn it up until TODAY! Do we look alike?

Went to a family friends BBQ a few days ago, and we actually took pictures! note, lately this has been rare in my family, my sister and  youngest brother are camera shy (even though they are so photogenic, i think). So here are 3 pictures of my me with my parents and 2 out of 3 siblings :)
