5 Amazing Oils to Use During Pregnancy

There are many benefits of using oils not only during pregnancy, but post partum as well. Some of those benefits include: softens and protects skin, prevents/minimizes stretch marks, avoid itchiness, soothes, and moisturizes.

I recommend applying oil to your belly three times a day. Morning, afternoon and night. I generously apply the oil of choice when I wake up, after a shower and before bed. I have oils all over my house, and visible so I remember to apply. There are a couple in the washroom, some on our bedroom dresser, on the mantle above our bed, and even in my diaper bags.

Some of my favourite oils include those you can find in the kitchen, at a pharmacy, the mall and of course, a local organic skin and body shop. Below are five of my favourite oils that I used during pregnancy and post-partum.

naked coconuts. organic virgin coconut oil at its best. Not just for cooking, you have to try this brand specifically on your body. The texture is great, and just melts at your fingertips. The smell, delicious! Besides having one in my room, I have a little tub in the kitchen, so whenever I am cooking with this beautiful oil, I don’t mind licking my fingers or rubbing the excess into my skin.     Nina, I wish I had this information when I was pregnant of both my girls. I will still enjoy some of them for my hands and body. Love applying oils and creams after a bath. Great products, thanks for the reviews.

    No soy amante de los perfumes ni el maquillaje, pero amo las cremas y aceites. Las dos veces que he estado embarazada también me cuidaba mucho la barriga con cremas hidratantes. Para haber tenido dos embarazos, y uno de ellos gemelar en el que la barriga parecía explotar, mi barriga no quedo tan mal, jeje. Gracias por las recomendaciones.
